Got a spring in your step? Want some light exercise? Chance to stretch the legs? Then Sunday 18 March is the day for you — it’s Take on the Lake time again! Eastern Volunteers is staging its 12th consecutive Fun Run & Walk at Lillydale Lake. It’s a community event and everybody’s welcome.
There’s a 3.8km walk and two runs, 3.8 and 7.6km. Which really means one or two spins on the paths around beautiful Lillydale Lake (download a map). What better way to burn off that Sunday breakfast? You can enter as an individual, a family or, NEW FOR 2012, start or join a TEAM. It’s even more fun with friends!
There are trophies and prizes for first-across-the-line in a host of age-based divisions. There’s a great Early Bird Prize too. Every entry received by Wed 14 March goes into a draw for TWO adult tickets on Puffing Billy Railway. And registrations made and paid by 14 March are a few dollars cheaper. Winners all round!

How much?
We’ve kept prices low (same as 2011) so everyone can take part. Register by 14th March and pay only $10/adult, $5/child (under 18) and $25/family (up to 2 adults and 5 children). Registration fees at Lillydale Lake are a little more: $12/adult, $6/child and $30/family. Team fees are $8 per team member, regardless of age, with a minimum four members in a team.
This year we’re also inviting sponsorship by friends, family and workmates. All fees and donations support Eastern Volunteer’ work with the communities of Yarra Ranges, Whitehorse and Maroondah. Once you’ve registered you can send them your URL and watch the funds roll in. Well, we can all hope!

Entry fees are not refundable. EVRC reserves the right to cancel the event if there is a threat of extreme weather conditions.
