Volunteer Recruitment Eastern Volunteers provides members of the community with the opportunity to develop new skills and meet new friends while providing support to individuals and agencies. Eastern Volunteers recruits and refers volunteers to not for profit organisations in Whitehorse, Maroondah and Shire of Yarra Ranges. Eastern Volunteers has promotional displays throughout the three municipalities and volunteers are invited to attend for interview at Ringwood, Box Hill or Lilydale offices and, where appropriate, referred to a volunteer vacancy suitable for them. Follow-up contact with the prospective volunteer is made on a monthly basis. Training is also provided for volunteers. Over 300 not for profit organisations are registered with Eastern Volunteers and from time to time these organisations submit volunteer vacancies. Eastern Volunteers provides support to and recognition of volunteer efforts, through the provision of training and National Volunteer Week and International Volunteer Day activities. |
